If purchased before 2018, the LH thumb placement has a small error and should read:
Knit across N1, N2, N3, and the first 4 sts of N4. Using a 12” piece of waste yarn in a contrasting colour, k the next 8 sts on N4. Slip these sts back onto the LH needle and continue to work in pattern. You will knit the waste yarn a second time to be back in pattern.
I have heard some feedback on how to slightly adjust the pattern to enhance the fit of the mitten for different hand shapes and I thought I would share!
For a tighter cuff, cast on with 40 sts and increase to 48 in last round before pattern.
For more space at the base of the thumb, try waiting until rnd 18 or 23 to place thumb.
I am really loving all of the finished products I have been shown! It is so fun seeing the colours play within the pattern! Please feel free to send me a picture of your finished mitts or share it on social media and tag @botanicalfibres!
If purchased before November 2018, the stitch count for the medium size should read 104 sts. When doing the increase round before the graph begins, it should read: 3 (1, 3). So increase 1 stitch to have a total stitch count of 105.
